This class is a Hollow Globe Ornament class taught by Mike Hunter and Jeff Leudloff.

In this class you will learn how to make a globe, how to hollow a small form. Then create a top cap to fit the globe and an icicle that will attach to the bottom of the globe.
Tools: If you have small hollowing tools bring them, however there will also be tools available for your use.
A bowl gouge for the outside of the globe is needed. A small spindle gouge or small bowl gouge will be used on the spindle portion of the ornament.
A Parting tool and a scraper might also be useful.
We will be providing materials for the globe and the spindles for a $10 material fee(payable to instructor), however if you want to bring your own materials here is what is needed:
Wood for globe: Minimum size: A cube 2 1/4” square x 3" long or up to 1" longer.
Wood for the Spindle and cap: 1 1/4” square x 6" to 8" long.
