Learn the steps to turn a bowl from fresh (green) wood by using a traditional bowl gauge. Find out how to make better cuts, to make better shapes and to reduce tear out so you reduce sanding. We will explore many of the cuts that can be made with a bowl gauge and the different grind shapes and where to use them.
What to bring: Eye Protection: Safety Glasses and your Face Shield (we have Face Shields available for use), a Traditional Bowl Gouge, Parting Tool, and a Round Nose Scraper or Negative Rake Scraper if you have one.
Bring your own bowl blank from a recently cut tree that is 8" to 10" in diameter and cut to a circle or
